Families Of Carleton College Crash Survivors Thank Community

(KMSP) – As the community of Northfield, Minn., continues to mourn the loss of three Carleton College students who died in a crash, the families of the two young men who survived are saying thanks for the support they are receiving. On Monday afternoon, the families of 19-year-old Conor Eckert and 20-year-old William Sparks released the following statement: “We want to thank the many people, especially the Carleton College staff and students, who have been so supportive to us during this difficult time. James, Paxton and Michael were dear friends to Conor and William. They were outstanding, remarkable young men who made this world a better place. Please keep their families and friends in your prayers.” Sparks has been upgraded to satisfactory condition, and Eckert is in serious condition.
